A sneak peek into my time at Disney...

I began my journey with The Walt Disney Company in January 2025 and have since completed two internships across different areas of the company, gaining hands-on experience in storytelling, communications and creative strategy.

From January to June 2025, I interned on the Public Affairs and Communications team at Walt Disney World, where I supported pricing, digital, water parks, sports and mini golf initiatives. In this role, I spent time in the parks and resorts capturing content and writing cast member stories for internal platforms, helping bring the magic of Walt Disney World to life through authentic storytelling.

I then continued my Disney journey as an intern with the Disney Consumer Products Public Affairs and Communications team through January 2026. At DCP, I supported internal, external and executive communications, as well as corporate social responsibility and business-to-business initiatives. This experience allowed me to grow into a well-rounded communications generalist while strengthening my skills in design, writing, project management and media support.

Disney Consumer Products Public Affairs and Communications Internship

During my time with Disney Consumer Products, I supported the day-to-day needs of internal, external and executive communications, as well as corporate social responsibility and business-to-business initiatives. I had the opportunity to write six internal employee stories and design over 15 digital signage assets displayed on internal TV screens throughout DCP offices across the country. I also supported the creation and distribution of five internal newsletters, reaching more than 4,500 employees. This internship also led to my first Disney Parks Blog and Disney Experiences stories.

Beyond written and visual storytelling, I helped plan and execute two team events for Disney Consumer Products employees and assisted in vetting reports, managing editorial calendars and developing media lists. One of the most impactful moments of my internship was leading the DCP holiday initiative—overseeing the design, communications and nationwide distribution of 100 holiday boxes to 100 families nationwide.

Walt Disney World Public Affairs and Communications Internship

During my internship at Walt Disney World, I worked with the Digital/Pricing and Sports/Water Parks teams on a range of projects focused on research, storytelling and content creation. I conducted in-depth research to track coverage and shared high-level insights with senior leaders, while also assisting with on-property content captures across Walt Disney World. I collaborated closely with team members, contributing new perspectives during meetings and one-on-ones and helped tell meaningful stories about cast members for both internal and external audiences. I edited and refined content using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, ensuring it aligned with Disney’s brand and storytelling standards.

One of my standout projects was my social video on @wdw.ambassador Instagram account. From ideating the social post, executing the video shoot and editing all the clips together, this post received over 127k views and 3.2k likes.
